Privacy Policy

Card-v ("we") runs Card-V: digital business cards, loyalty cards, menus and online stores, review pages, games and NFC tags for businesses and professionals, on card-v.com and in the Card-V apps. This policy explains which personal data we use, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
- For your own Card-V account, Card-v is responsible for your data.
- For the customers of a business that uses Card-V (loyalty members, people who order, play a game or leave a review), that business decides how their data is used, and we process it on its behalf.
What we collect
- Your account: name, e-mail address, phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash), language, profile picture, and the business details you enter.
- What you create: cards, menus, products, loyalty programmes, games, review pages and the pictures you upload.
- Customers of businesses: name (optional), phone number (stored encrypted), loyalty stamps, points, rewards and balances, orders, game plays and private feedback.
- Your devices: signed-in sessions (the device name), the token that lets us send notifications to the app, and the app version.
- Security and usage: how often cards and pages are viewed, NFC taps, and a one-way hash of the IP address used to prevent abuse.
- Camera, photos and NFC: used only while you scan a card, choose a picture to upload or write an NFC tag. Nothing is taken from your photos unless you choose it.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you ask for: accounts, cards, loyalty, orders, games, reviews and NFC tags.
- To keep Card-V secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep it working.
- To send the messages you expect: sign-in codes (by WhatsApp or SMS), order alerts and team invitations.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Companies that run parts of the service for us: hosting, WhatsApp and SMS delivery, Apple and Google (wallet passes and notifications), Expo (delivering notifications to the app) and Telegram (only if you link it).
- The business you deal with, for its own customers.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep data while your account is active. When an account is deleted it is switched off at once, and its personal data is removed or made anonymous within a reasonable time, except what the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how it is used. You can delete your account at any time in the app (More, then Password & security) or on the website. For anything else, write to support@card-v.com.
Security
Passwords are stored as secure hashes, phone numbers are encrypted, all connections use HTTPS, and each person only reaches the accounts and data their role allows.
Children
Card-V is not meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
